Reflecting on Startup Mahakumbh 2024: Opportunities and Challenges for New Ventures
I recently attended Startup Mahakumbh 2024 as a delegate representing Infobip, and guys, was it an eye-opening experience! The event was buzzing with energy and brimming with innovative startups from various industries like FMCG, Pharma, IT, SaaS, and AI. I had the chance to explore over 200 brands, each showcasing unique products and ideas.
From AI-generated music to cannabis-based clothing and FSSAI-approved medicines, the range of products on display was truly impressive. I even came across digital closet apps, organic pre-mixtures, drones designed for farmers, and versatile AI platforms. It was a melting pot of creativity and entrepreneurship.
However, there was one aspect that left me slightly concerned - the heavy reliance of many startups on selling exclusively through social media platforms and their websites. While these platforms are great for visibility, depending solely on them for business growth could be risky. With recent government conflicts leading to app bans, startups need to diversify their online presence.
I understand that financial constraints can make expanding to multiple platforms challenging for startups. That's where Infobip's Startup Tribe program comes in. It provides startups with valuable tools and resources to support their growth.
