We started the year strong, celebrating a significant achievement for our founder, Lucinda White, on International Women’s Day. Lucinda was honoured at the House of Lords as part of f:Entrepreneur’s annual #iAlso100 line-up. This prestigious recognition celebrated her exceptional contributions to entrepreneurship and her role in inspiring female business owners across the UK.? The acknowledgment underscored our commitment to championing women in business. At Pure Awards, we understand the unique challenges faced by female entrepreneurs, and Lucinda’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, vision, and leadership.

June: A Toast to Connection and Community

In June, we hosted our first-ever Ladies Summer Wine Tasting and Networking Event. Held at Bottle & Thyme, the evening was a vibrant celebration and collaboration. We gathered to share stories, build relationships, and enjoy a selection of fine wines from local business, Dronfield Wine World.? ?More than just a social gathering, the event supported a cause close to our hearts. Together, we raised ￡261 for the charity Tough to Talk, which works tirelessly to reduce male suicide. This success highlighted the power of connection and the importance of giving back to the community. For us, it was a beautiful reminder of the magic that happens when like-minded individuals come together to support one another.

July: Empowering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

In July, the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Pilot Scheme with the University of Derby was launched.? An initiative designed to empower and mentor aspiring business founders. This program provided participants with access to mentorship, resources, and support to transform their ideas into thriving ventures.? The EIR Pilot Scheme aligned perfectly with our mission to inspire and equip future business leaders. Watching participants grow in confidence, skill, and vision reaffirmed our belief in the transformative power of guidance and collaboration. We are immensely proud to have played a role in helping budding entrepreneurs take meaningful steps toward success through the help of Lucinda’s mentorship.

Her candid discussion delved into the art and strategy of winning awards, helping listeners understand how to effectively showcase their achievements. This opportunity to educate and inspire others was a perfect reflection of our commitment to driving excellence in the business community.

December: Introducing the Experts in Residence

In December, we were thrilled to introduce the Experts in Residence as part of the University of Derby’s Create Growth Programme. This initiative is designed to empower creative businesses in Derbyshire with tailored advice, insights, and connections. Our founder, Lucinda White, serves as an Expert in Grant Funding Support, offering free 30-minute consultations, assistance with grant applications, proofreading services, and webinars focused on crafting compelling funding applications. Her guidance has already led to impressive success stories, such as Jim Cork of Explore Studio securing a ￡12,000 grant for his creative work.
