Reflecting on Personal & Professional Rebrands
Change is something we deal with all throughout our lives. Sometimes it is welcomed, and sometimes it can be a bit more uncertain. I'll never forget the time I decided to dive headfirst into corporate consulting while building a company. It was December 2011 and my wife and I were down in Key West, where we had both quit our jobs because we wanted time for ourselves and desired change. I landed this gig and my first day on the job was January, 3, 2012. On my first day, I hopped on a flight Midwest to help a rather large petroleum company split. I had no idea what I would be doing at this client, let alone that I'd be the only person from my company there! I was working alongside 300 other consultants from a consulting firm powerhouse. I remember my emotions cycling through uncertainty, nervousness, gaining confidence, being confident and then crushing it. Those 9 months were the most positive character and career building experience in my life. I thrive on those situations and I turned that experience into 7 more years of it. Now I'm at iFrog and couldn't be happier!
When I first started at iFrog, I realized quickly I had made the right choice. I liked being on the floor or firing up a Zoom with our people, building relationships, understanding how they're servicing our partners, learning how we do things, the technologies we use daily, and how we collect and use data. It was critical for me to understand our people so that I could service not only them, but our partners. One of the mantras at iFrog is practicing Kaizen and continuously improving our processes to ensure we're the most efficient and effective we can be. I remember spending a lot of my initial time at iFrog observing where I identified some quick hits and big-ticket challenges (or as I like to call them, opportunities). I brought these opportunities to our leadership table where we worked as a team to resolve them quickly and we did! We recently implemented a new Task Management System that is used cross-organizationally and I am grateful and humbled to have led that initiative at iFrog. Implementing any new system, let alone a task management system, can be a culture shock, but we did such a good job planning and rolling up our sleeves to deliver excellence. Since joining iFrog, my team has also delivered a new piece of proprietary software and developed the new iFrog.com among other important initiatives. We are just getting started!
With the rebrand, iFrog Marketing Solutions allows me and my team to think outside the confines of our digital marketing roots and continuously challenge the status quo. It means extending our single tech stack through the use of OpenAPIs and proprietary technologies. SaaS has been a term used around iFrog lately and it's our vision to deliver technology that solves problems, empowers users, is simple to use, people want to use, all while incorporating machine learning and A.I. This is a very exciting time for iFrog! We have transformed from a service oriented company to a company that lives at the intersection of marketing and technology.
