Reflecting on our core: A purpose and values that go far beyond ‘us’

Earlier this year we immersed ourselves in a period of introspection at IMEX and decided to reexamine our objectives, our vision, and in essence, our purpose. This journey of reflection wasn't solitary—it was a shared endeavor that led us to a new articulation of our values as a team.??

Now that this work is complete, it feels good to know we’ve created a strong foundation for the future; one that’s as robust as our ambition.?

IMEX fundamentally serves a purpose far beyond ‘just us’. While we’re deeply passionate and committed—a feeling that pervades our team—that feeling ultimately serves a broader audience: the global business events community.?

Referring to it as a community rather than an industry is an important distinction for us. It conveys relationships that endure, mutual support and meaningful friendships. It's where business extends beyond the transactional, fostering growth and development in the most profound of ways.?

In our reflections, we came to recognize our primary value: prioritizing people. This decision mirrors what’s at the core of the hospitality sector—putting our community at the forefront of every decision and action we take. Whether deliberating over the impact of an innovation or how our events might bring more joy to attendees, our aim is to reinforce human-to-human connections. Our events are crafted to engage attendees in their entirety, offering experiences that resonate on a personal, as well as professional, level.?
