Rwanda: A Hub of Innovation and Resilience
Recently, I had the privilege of visiting Rwanda, a land that exemplifies innovation and communal spirit. My first stop was Norrsken, Africa's largest hub for tech entrepreneurs. The energy there was palpable – a beehive of ideas and solutions aimed at some of the world's most pressing challenges.
Driving Change with Kabisa
A standout encounter was with Kabisa , an electric vehicle manufacturer in Rwanda. They are pioneering change, not just by producing EVs but also by collaborating with local governments and businesses to establish a charging network infrastructure. This initiative is more than just business; it's a movement towards sustainable transportation.
Insights from alx_africa
Another highlight was my visit to the ALX Hub in Rwanda. The joy of seeing both familiar and new faces was immense. Meeting Mamadou Oury Diallo of Sheba Plastic was particularly inspiring. His venture is revolutionizing recycling, creating a sustainable circular economy that rewards customers while reducing carbon footprint.
Appreciating Leadership at alx_africa
I also want to extend my gratitude to Thomas Obam and Peter Maina, who manage our ALX Hub in Nairobi. Their exceptional hospitality during my stay made a lasting impression. Their commitment to fostering a nurturing environment for innovation is commendable.
The Beauty and Heart of Kigali
Kigali, Rwanda's heart, is more than just a city. Its lush green hills symbolize growth and a commitment to environmental stewardship. The warmth and hospitality of its people have redefined my understanding of community and hospitality.
