Reflecting on my Internship @ Flex

As I approach my final week, I reflect on the incredible opportunity I've had over the last 12 weeks to work as a Strategy & Analytics intern at Flex, a leader in manufacturing. This opportunity has been an enriching and transformative experience that provided me with invaluable insights into the world of strategy and analytics within a dynamic and innovative environment. During my time at Flex, I was involved in a variety of projects that not only honed my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of the strategic aspects of business operations.

Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to work on several high-impact projects. These projects involved data analysis, visualization, and strategic planning, where I utilized tools like Tableau and Excel to create interactive dashboards and reports. This experience sharpened my ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and present insights in a clear and actionable manner.

In addition to these core projects, I also had the opportunity to assist with assembling and supporting the development of technical equipment, providing me with hands-on experience in a highly technical environment. In addition, I performed ad hoc tasks, including conducting research and supporting ongoing initiatives, which allowed me to gain experience in a wide range of topics. Many of these skills provided me with a deeper understanding of the technical aspects that underpin business operations, enhancing my overall analytical abilities.

The continuous journey of learning and growth was a hallmark of my internship at Flex. During my internship, I completed a Project Management Certification as well. This training equipped me with the fundamentals and applications of project management, which are crucial in various professional contexts. During my internship, I applied these project management skills to coordinate and execute my projects effectively. By setting clear objectives, managing timelines, and ensuring stakeholder communication, I was able to deliver high-quality results on time.

My manager, Maria, and my mentor, Sarah, profoundly enriched my experience. Maria's guidance and leadership were instrumental in navigating my projects, while Sarah provided knowledgeable advice and support whenever needed. Their insightful feedback and encouragement made this journey memorable and significantly contributed to my professional development. The strong interpersonal relationships I built during my internship were instrumental in my growth, offering a support network that extended beyond the workplace.

My internship at Flex has been a pivotal experience that equipped me with a diverse set of technical skills, strategic thinking abilities, and invaluable professional relationships. The projects I worked on allowed me to apply my knowledge in practical settings, while the continuous learning opportunities ensured my growth and development.
