Reflecting on My Data Analyst Internship Experience at UTD's School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM).

I am thrilled to share my experience as a Data Analyst Intern at the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) Career Success Center at the University of Texas at Dallas.Through effective collaboration with web development and communication teams, I spearheaded a data-driven initiative to understand alumni behavior. Leveraging Power BI and Power Query, I transformed raw data into compelling visualizations that offered valuable insights for the organization.

This internship allowed me to uncover some fascinating insights about our alumni and the career trends of NSM students. I developed interactive dashboards that showcases employment, education and salary statistics, providing valuable information for the NSM community.

One of the highlights of my internship was the opportunity to present my findings to higher officials and key personnel of the NSM school. These presentations were a fantastic learning experience, and I gained a wealth of knowledge about data visualization and analysis from the talented people at NSM.

In my internship, I not only learned a lot about business analysis functions but also had the opportunity to showcase my creative thinking by customizing the dashboards using various visualizations such as pie charts, Gantt charts, field maps, and bubble charts. This experience has helped me gain knowledge in identifying business requirements and has deepened my interest in exploring data to extract valuable insights.

I am immensely excited that these visualizations will be live on the UTD NSM website. I hope they will help students, parents, and employers make better decisions by providing detailed reports and statistics from the visualizations.
