Reflecting on Ascendant by the Sea

The Ascendant by the Sea Conference concluded with great success, leaving a profound impact on all that attended. We want to send our appreciation and thanks to everyone who played a vital role in making this event exceptional. Our practitioner's valuable insights, our delegates and the generous support of our sponsors contributed to this accomplishment. Together, we created an extraordinary gathering that exceeded expectations, fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth.?

Our guests were welcomed by a day blessed with sunshine, a perfect day for Ascendant by the Sea. Participants delved into the crucial topics of data, vulnerability, and innovation in partnership with Local Authorities, engaging in thought-provoking sessions and forging meaningful connections.?

With Ascendant Solutions committed to being responsive to feedback, we wanted to share some valuable insights that our delegates provided, related to their experiences. We asked them what they liked most about Ascendant by the Sea along with any highlights from the day:?

It was friendly and extremely informative. The whole Ascendant team were very welcoming and approachable. Really enjoyed meeting with other people who use different aspects of Ascendant and learning how they use it against how we use it and coming back with plenty of thoughts and opinions on how to fully utilise Ascendant. Meeting others from Enforcement was really enjoyable also.

Hearing speakers speak with such passion for what they do, it's not uncommon for conferences to be dominated with doom and gloom over what we have been through over the last few years and to hear people's journeys of how they are using data and technology to improve the lives of residents and staff, increase benefit take up, maximise collection and show compassion for the financially vulnerable was really refreshing. It was also a great, relaxed atmosphere and a great networking opportunity.

The event was held in a truly beautiful venue, and we were honoured to have hosted our conference in it. We took great pride in the variety of speakers that we were able to bring to Ascendant by the Sea, all discussing how they're tackling challenges from the practitioner’s perspective.?

I would like to give a special mention to Dem Shish for their outstanding hospitality, impeccable service, and exceptional quality during the night before the conference. Their contribution to the overall experience of Ascendant by the Sea didn't go unnoticed.?

Congratulations to the winners of the horse race! Although a certain Scotsman seemed to have an uncanny streak of luck, we'll continue to argue that it's purely random. Nonetheless, it appeared to be an exciting way to wrap up the conference, we appreciate everybody's participation.?

We hope to do this again next year, as soon as the venue is confirmed, we'll be sure to let everyone know! New venue, same restaurant gets my vote.?

A personal thank you to Tim Whelan, Nick Ducatel (IRRV) and their team at Eastbourne Town Hall for accommodating us and providing us with the ideal space for our conference. Their support was instrumental to making this event a success.?

Finally, I would like to thank the catering team, Cavendish Bakery, for delivery such a great spread of pastries, sandwiches, sausage rolls and drinks. Their service was vital in assisting us best accommodate all our delegates.
