Reflecting on another year at the Flexographic Industry Association (FIA) UK Awards

For me, the venue was perfect. On a normal day you would see the facilities at Silverstone hosting high tech, no compromise, close fought battles by some of the best machines, engineers, and drivers…

On Thursday it felt somewhat similar, this time the cars swapped for printing machines and the race for victory was based on the finest not the fastest….

Everyone I spoke to was equally delighted to be there, the atmosphere was electric and for the judges, the competition was game on!

Taking a moment to reflect for the R3 Team, we were extremely proud to play a part in fifteen of the finalist prints. To be at the table watching the awards unfold was just superb, with six golds, four silver and four bronze, it was one of R3’s best nights.

And then the big one came along! A fantastic print using our VORTEX technology heralding a new era of screening with its perfect execution by the brilliant print crew at Roberts Mart received the prestigious Best in Show award.

I have worked with the team at RM for the past eight years and knowing how hard they work every day and their dedication to pushing the limits of flexo, I speak for everyone at R3 when I say that we are all so happy to see them recognised in this way.

During the past seven years we have been involved in more than one hundred international award-winning prints, an achievement of which we are super proud.

Today, we can reflect on the hard work that R3 commits to creating the ‘first image’, from producing the printing plate that sets the standard for consistent high-quality to our industry-changing print technologies.

Tomorrow, we continue to evolve our services, processes, and technology to go even further!
