What a week it’s been! From the peaceful evening runs in Tatton Park to the vibrant atmosphere at the Leeds Running Festival, this past week has been filled with incredible races, scenic routes, and the unmistakable camaraderie that defines every RunThrough event. Here’s a look back at the highlights:
August 14th - Gateley Chase the Sun Tatton Park 5k and 10k
We kicked off the week with a stunning evening at Tatton Park for the Gateley Chase the Sun 5k and 10k. Runners enjoyed the serene beauty of one of Cheshire’s most picturesque parks as they raced against the setting sun. The flat, fast course made it a perfect evening for personal bests and soaking in the summer vibes. It was a fantastic way to start the week, with runners of all abilities coming together to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
August 14th - Gateley Chase the Sun Olympic Park 5k and 10k
Simultaneously, in the heart of London, the Gateley Chase the Sun Olympic Park event offered a different kind of thrill. Running through the iconic grounds of the Olympic Park, participants were inspired by the legacy of the 2012 Games as they pushed through the 5k and 10k courses. The energy was electric, and the opportunity to race in such a historic venue made for an unforgettable evening.
August 17th - Chepstow Running Festival 5k, 10k and Half Marathon
As the weekend approached, we headed to Wales for the Chepstow Running Festival. Set against the backdrop of the historic Chepstow Racecourse, this event was a celebration of running in all its forms. From the fast-paced 5k to the challenging Half Marathon, runners were treated to a unique experience on the racecourse circuit. The atmosphere was one of excitement and achievement, with participants relishing the chance to race in such a renowned location.
August 17th - Battersea Park 5k and 10k
Back in London, the Battersea Park 5k and 10k provided a fantastic Friday evening race for those looking to end their week on a high note. Known for its flat, fast course, Battersea Park once again delivered the perfect setting for runners to chase their goals. The looped course, combined with the park’s natural beauty, made for a memorable race, whether you were gunning for a new PB or just enjoying the run.

August 18th - Leeds Running Festival 5k, 10k and Half Marathon
Sunday saw the vibrant Leeds Running Festival come to life, with runners taking on the 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon distances. The festival atmosphere was infectious, with participants of all ages and abilities coming together to celebrate the joy of running. The course, which highlighted some of the best sights in Leeds, provided the perfect backdrop for a day of racing, achievement, and community spirit.
August 18th - Frome Running Festival 5k, 10k and Half Marathon
Also on Sunday, we hosted the Frome Running Festival in Somerset, a new addition to the RunThrough calendar. This event was special not just for its scenic routes through the charming town and countryside but also for its support of Dorothy House Hospice Care. Participants were inspired by the cause and the beautiful surroundings, making it a day to remember. Whether running through Frome’s historic streets or the stunning Somerset countryside, the festival offered a truly unique and rewarding experience.
August 18th - Kempton Park 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and Juniors
Rounding off the week, the Kempton Park event brought runners to the famous racecourse for a day of excitement and achievement. With distances ranging from the Junior races to the Half Marathon, there was something for everyone. The unique course, set against the backdrop of the racecourse, provided a thrilling environment for runners of all ages. It was a fantastic way to close out the weekend, with participants enjoying a day of fitness, fun, and family.
