Reflecting on 2024, which generated 3 role-models for 2025 & beyond.

The year 2024 ends in 22 days, so how has it been for me so far? Well, the first 4 months were intense but also predictable as I was finishing the 3rd year of my 2nd bachelor's degree. However, the following 8 months brought many unexpected events into my life, which inspired me to generate 3 role-models for myself to follow in 2025 & beyond.

They are Alefar the Parrot, Beytah the Hippopotamus & Gammal the Ankylosaurus.

Alefar the Parrot realized that he must stretch his wings to balance his torso for steadier steps on the road of life. Similarly, I realized how delicate this sense of balance is & the importance of effective time management to achieve my life goals while maintaining a healthy mind & body. It was difficult, but I am more aware now. Thus, I hope to continue being a balanced person in 2025 & beyond.

Beytah the Hippopotamus provided support for Omegar the Rooster, despite standing on a puddle containing unfamiliar substances. Following the completion of my 2nd degree, I had plans to rejoin the CRO industry. However, an unexpected turn of events in May led me to attend 232 (& counting) industry events across multiple disciplines, many of which exposed me to unfamiliar environments & subject matters. I gained several novel insights & expanded my network of friends plus acquaintances. In addition, I serendipitously became an advocate of Biosensors technology & research. The element of surprise may decrease in 2025 if I enroll into the honours year or rejoin the CRO industry. However, I hope to continue being supportive of my expanded network in 2025 & beyond; just like Beytah.

Gammal the Ankylosaurus never let the harsh desert conditions affect her determination to spark areas of regrowth in the grass patches she nurtured. Her deep sense of purpose consistently boosted her energy levels which were necessary for these intensive tasks. The 3rd year of my degree almost overwhelmed me, but I got through it without remoduling because I behaved like Gammal. The job market is tough & is even tougher for mature people like myself. However, with Gammal as my spirit animal, I think I will be able to rejoin the industry with my dignity & integrity intact in the near future.
