Reflecting on 2024: Nifty News
Nifty Studio
Boutique Design Studio providing Social Media Management, Animation, Graphic & Web Design and Photography/Videography
As we approach the end of 2024, it’s an opportune moment to reflect on the milestones and successes we achieved, but also our shortcomings and goals we didn’t achieve over the past year.
We produced 864 social media posts across all our client platforms...
We strove to grow our skillset and portfolio in 2024, and I am glad to say we did so to our best capabilities. Here’s a snapshot of everything we achieved during this crazy year:
Capturing local professionals
While we’re mostly situated behind our laptops and phones, we also captured 8 studio shoots in 2024 in our Paarl based studio. We had attorneys, accountants, doctors, physios, entrepreneurs and insurance brokers in front of our lenses during this exciting year.
Many of these headshots sessions were done as part of a cohesive digital marketing package that we offer clients. This includes Branding, Photography, Website Design, Digital Ads, and Social Media.?
Digital Innovations
When we’re not behind the camera, we’re grafting away behind our standing desks, typing like crazy and sipping coffee like there’s no tomorrow.
This year, we crafted 8 brand-spanking new websites for clients. As mentioned above, many of these were part of a larger project to build a concrete online presence for new brands or brands who are looking to revamp their digital home.?
Websites Developed:
We successfully launched 8 websites, each tailored to provide an intuitive user experience and align with our client’s brand identities. Go check them out:
Branding Projects:
We feel a quality brand is the cornerstone of any new business, that’s why we focus so intently on driving this service to our clients first and foremost.
In 2024, we completed 15 comprehensive branding initiatives, assisting clients in establishing and enhancing their market presence and laying the foundation for their digital marketing efforts. Here are some of the brands we worked on:
Audience Engagement
As we’re social media managers by trade, we naturally have to spend some time growing our own brand! This year we launched our new rebranded look and feel to the public, and here are some of the stats involved:
Instagram Growth:
We welcomed 396 new followers, mostly from small ad campaigns and organic content. Most of our engagement was done for our clients, so we let the ball slip a bit on our own brand here!
Website Traffic:
Our website is our online home, and we recorded 2,768 sessions in 2024, indicating increased interest and engagement with our digital platforms.?
This was driven by our Google Ad Campaigns, listings on Directories such as Clutch and Sortlist, and our social media platforms. Also, don’t forget the occasional offline marketing attempt via our stylish Business Cards! ??

Client Inquiries:
Our new website sports a flashy contact form, which received 175 submissions since starting up. These led to interesting conversations, and eventually to a few quality leads and now returning clients.
Team Collaboration
There’s no “I” in team, and when we take a look at the numbers, that holds true! Here are some of the stats:
Internal Communication:
Communicating with your team is quite essential these days we’ve heard, so that’s why we’re avid “Slackers” here at Nifty Studio. So much so that we exchanged 23,120 Slack messages, proving that we like to chat before deciding upon the next course of action!
Content Creation:
We produced 864 social media posts across all our client platforms, which adds up to a lot of time moving paths around in Adobe Illustrator..
How we can improve
I’m a firm believer of learning while doing, or in better word from a much smarter person:
“Fail early, fail often, but always fail forward” - John C. Maxwell
While we strive to provide the best service possible to our clients, we know that the digital marketing space is ever-changing, with new technologies growing past our capabilities every single day.
That means there are many ways to skin the digital marketing cat in a sense, and we could have done things better I think. Here are a few things I think we did well, and some we didn’t:

Looking Ahead
We have a growth mindset here at Nifty, and that means that we take every misstep as a learning opportunity.
This year, we’re excited to bring bigger and better things to not only our brand but those of our wonderful clients. We’re super lucky to have clients that allow us to try different things, to see what works and what doesn’t.
