Reflecting on 2023: Coderus's Evolving Journey

As the holiday season arrives, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we've had this year. It's our 25th year in business, so it’s only right that it’s been a special one! 2023 has been a whirlwind of amazing opportunities and significant achievements that we're excited to share with you.

Firstly, our invitation to the Houses of Parliament by IET. The discussions revolved around "Engineering our Kids' Future," emphasising the crucial role of innovation and education in shaping the path ahead for young people, and the roles we as businesses can play in assisting with that.

Our visit to Women in STEM at 英国埃塞克斯大学 was another highlight. We had the privilege of discussing the inclusion of women in technology, advocating for inclusivity and support for aspiring female talents. Encouraging more women to join the STEM sector is a cause close to our hearts, which is why we sponsored the DevelopHER Awards again this year too!

On the same theme, Alison Thomas , HR Director, spoke on a panel at the Festival of Learning, delivering an inspiring talk about equality and representation for women and girls in STEM. It was a powerful moment, sparking important conversations and driving positive change.

Amidst the whirlwind of opportunities there was one special project - the continued development of Appnalysis . In its advanced stages, this deep tech self-service mobile app analytics tool embodies our commitment to innovation. Appnalysis is poised to revolutionise how businesses navigate the mobile app landscape, offering real-time data feeds, comprehensive insights into mobile market shares, competitor tracking, and automated system integration with data visualisation tools. We are excited to take Appnalysis into 2024 and get it out to the world!

The recognition of our technical work and professionalism continued with our invitation to MWC Barcelona, receiving the Clutch Global Award Fall 2023 for Mobile Development Services, and most recently being named in Clutch’s top 1000 companies - making the top 300, which out of the 150,000 companies registered on Clutch, we think that’s pretty big! These acknowledgements reaffirm our commitment to innovation and excellence.

In our dedication to a supportive community within the workplace, our HR team, Ami Richardson and Alison Thomas , completed Mental Health Foundation Mental Health First Aider training. Prioritising mental wellbeing is integral to the welfare of our team. We also worked hard to attain the prestigious ISO 27001 Certification, which ensures excellence in sustainability across all processes within our company.

We had plenty of team building and recreational activities throughout the year, holding a Coronation picnic and a Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning amongst many other activities, giving back to charity as well as fostering connections within the team.

Continued Learning remains at our core. Attending 苹果 WWDC allowed us to stay ahead in technological advancements, ensuring that we bring the best to the table.

We welcomed five work experience students over the summer holidays and were also able to celebrate the employment of two graduates from Essex University. Welcoming fresh talent to our team contributes to a vibrant and diverse workforce, enriching our collective expertise.
