Reflect Back Look Forward

Reflect Back Look Forward

This week, we’re profiling one of our TLP Power Tools:?The Reflect Back Look Forward Tool.

One of my all-time favorite annual traditions—I owe so much of my success, happiness, health, and life satisfaction to dedicating the time to complete this exercise each year.

Looking back wistfully on what you’ve accomplished over the past year is nice, but it doesn’t propel you forward. It is only when you take the time, use the tool, and do the work, can you truly discover the patterns that emerge in your life, whether or not they are bringing you the satisfaction that you want, and what the hell you plan to do about it if they don’t.

My friend, Steve Graves, introduced this concept to me some 20 years ago—and I’ve been doing it ever since. Over the years, we have refined the process into 5 distinct modules and a series of questions in each designed to help you focus on what matters most.

  • WHY COHORT MEMBERS LOVE IT:It provides a realistic snapshot of your present situation.?If you take the time to work through each module honestly—you will walk away with a clear answer to the question “where did the time go?”?
  • It gets you to think about the big picture.?How do you want to be remembered? What things can be delegated in the future? What things would you like to devote more time to? This tool helps you figure that out because your answers are based on actual data from the previous https
