Refirement!

I really have been looking forward to this post for the past few years!  

 This has been an interesting year and one that has presented opportunities along with some new challenges. Through this time, I have found that working from home has really allowed me to reflect and focus on my life goal alignment.  As many of you know, I have been thinking about this point in my career for a while.  Prior to leaving Microsoft I had achieved most the goals I had set and yet still had the desire to do more in my industry. I wanted to share some of what I learnt, as well wanting new experiences.  As per my regiment I made some new goals, shared them with my friends which led me to Adobe! Adobe was the right place for me to contribute, especially after a wonderful career with Microsoft.   It has been a great couple of years at Adobe, where I met great people, made platinum club and had just started a cool new role.  Even though Adobe has been wonderful, life is telling me that it is time for a new path. On reflection,  this new journey is about new dreams, goals and experiences. So, I’m happy to share that my last day with Adobe is Feb 5th and I have made the decision to choose Refirement! Not sure if that is a word but if feels right for my new path. I’m excited about what the future brings. 

 Going forward, I’ll be shifting my balance from less work to more play, as I spend much more of my time on passions, more quality time with family & friends, thinking about new ideas and eventually some travel. On this journey, I am looking forward to sharing some of my knowledge, doing some shorter gigs, coaching, volunteering and mentoring.... it’s the unknown that has me smiling.  I may not know where my path leads, but I do know the journey is going to be awesome!

 This note is to both share my new journey and say thank you! I have had the privilege of working with many outstanding colleagues, partners and customers over the years and I know I have benefited greatly from your friendship knowledge and support. Without you in my life, I would not have had the experiences, fallen, then offered a hand up and got the opportunity to learn so much from each of you.  Thank you! It takes a community, energy and passion to make a successful career.
