Refinement: The Final Piece Of The Progress Equation. It's What You Need For Continuity.

It’s been a long day!

However, commitment is commitment, and here I go with my article for the day. It’s a continuation of the progress equation.

Three things, among many other possible things, are essential for progress.

The first is a sustainable path , the unique trajectory you take from a desire to your new reality. It’s different for everybody.

The second is consistency . It’s a by-product of taking repeated sustainable actions to move from where you are now to your new reality.

The final piece is refinement.

If you can't measure it, you can't improve it.

It’s a quote often attributed to Peter Drucker.

We improve by measuring the scale of our impact on most things in life and on those things we can’t measure (like love, courage, integrity, etc.).

That said, measurement is a critical part of our progress journeys.

We measure to identify what works, what’s not, and what changes need to be made as we take our sustainable actions for progress. That’s refinement!

It is simple; I measure so that I can refine because by refining my actions on the path to progress, I keep things exciting and create the basis for continuity.

On my fitness quest, I’m constantly refining my intensity levels to keep my body strong enough to continue the quest and keep me excited as I hit the trail every day.

Retirement helps us build on whatever sustainability and consistency have helped us achieve on our journeys to progress.

Refinement is only possible when you measure, so make sure you are tracking all your sustainable actions so that you can review and refine them to achieve the best outcomes.

So, take sustainable actions consistently, then measure, refine, and improve!
