Reference to an taken away AX 2012 field in some financial help texts in D365FO

Lately I got a question from someone about the help text by dimension value fields in D365FO. Here the help text relates to functionalities that this user couldn't find and I was asked where these fields could be found. In this article I show you the fields in D365FO with the help text including explanation for the reason by using my AX 2012 environment.
The question
When you open the financial dimension values, there are several fields where the help text contains the following sentence:
'This field is available only when Shared value is selected in the Select the level of dimension value to display field'
You will find this by example in the help text of the fields 'Suspended', 'Group dimension', 'Calculate total from multiple dimension values' and 'Do not allow manual entry'.
But if you search in D365FO you will not find the field 'Select the level of dimension value to display'. What is the reason behind this message?
AX 2012
The reason of this sentence in the help text can be found in AX 2012. In AX 2012 a lot of the financial setup became shared across legal entities. For some of the setup functionalities (think about chart of account or financial dimension values) you had setup in the form that was shared and setup that was related to one legal entity only. And you always had to decide what the level was where you wanted to do the setup for.

Selecting this concerning level is what you did in the field 'Select the level of dimension value to display':
So by clicking on 'Shared value' you could manage the fields that where shared across all legal entities for this dimension value. And by selecting 'Companies' you had to select the company (legal entity) where you wanted to to specific setup for.
Only the fields related to the level that you had selected became available for editing.
The change in D365FO
The principle of sharing setup and legal entity specific setup is the same in D365FO. But the forms for by example the chart of account and the financial dimension values are changed. The fields related to the shared financial setup are placed in the tab 'General' and the fields related to company specific financial setup are placed in the tab 'Legal entity overrides':
In this new situation there is no need to select the level of dimension value to display, because the separation is now created in the form via the field groups already. Also for this reason the field 'Select the level of financial value to display' isn't necessary any more and didn't came back in D365FO.
Because the help texts are not changed here, in D365FO for some fields in the field group 'General' still a reference is available to this old field from AX 2012. But in D365FO no need to select the level anymore, so you can forget this part of the help text.
