Reevaluating What Matters

Reevaluating What Matters

Ready to dive into the last installment of our series on Recognizing When You're Ready for Change? Today, we're talking about something that hits close to home for many of us.

Shifting Priorities: A Sign of Change

Let's face it—life threw us all a curveball with the pandemic. We've had to adapt, pivot, and reassess what truly matters. And for many of us, that meant a significant shift in priorities.

Take my own experience, for example. When the pandemic hit, I found myself facing a crucial decision: prioritize my career or be there for my family.

I chose family.

And let me tell you, it was the best decision I ever made. Being with my mom during that time taught me the true value of love and connection.

But it's not just about caregiving responsibilities. The shift to remote work opened our eyes to a whole new world of possibilities.

Suddenly, we had the freedom to work from anywhere, on our own terms.

And let's not forget about health and self-care. The pandemic showed us just how fragile life can be and reminded us to prioritize our well-being above all else.

Maybe you've had similar thoughts swirling in your mind:

  • "The pandemic made me realize how precious time with my family is, and I want more of that."
  • "Remote work has given me the flexibility I've always craved, and I'm not willing to sacrifice that for a return to the office."
  • "I've reassessed my priorities during this time, and I want to focus on what truly brings me joy in life."
  • "I saw how stressful things were during the pandemic, and I realized that my health needs to come first."

A recent survey found that 65-70% of respondents reported a reassessment of their priorities during the pandemic, with family, health, and work-life balance emerging as top priorities for many individuals.

What about you?

As we wrap up this series on recognizing signs of readiness for change, I want to leave you with one simple action step: meditate.

It may sound cliché, but trust me, it works. More than 80% of world-class performers have some form of daily meditation or mindfulness practice. It's a game-changer.

And hey, I've got a little gift for you: an assessment on Recognizing Signs of Readiness. It'll give you even more insight into where you stand and what steps you can take next.
