In my previous Post I talked about creating the Customer to Product Magnet, this is the first step to marketing your potential money maker and making the difference that counts.
Facebook is primarily ideal for Business to customer models, but however it has the hidden potential for both.
There are many ways to market your product on Facebook but there are a lot of factors you have to consider.
- Who and what is your business is about?
- Cover page
- Show Case
- Your Audience
- Other Social Platforms you are involved in
- The time and day
- Organic or paid advertising
- The insights to your potential Clients.
- Other Advertising Techniques
- Example for Advertising your money maker!
- Building your audience techniques.
Please note: All businesses that operate on Facebook have to have their own page as part of the T&C of this social network giant, however it’s up to you weather you do or not.
Who and what is your business is about?
You need to make sure you give a brief description of what you do and provide as well as the link to your website (if you have one) and business contact details.
This should be an image representation of your Business, for instance if you showed an image of People having a good time at the bar and you’re a bar owner then that would be a good image for your customers to digest and it would be easy for them to understand and relate to what you do.
Showcase
Set up a Photo Album with information on each image, people love to browse through pictures of what you sell and do. When you are just starting your page, this would be a good time to pile on the pictures. If you have a solid audience base then you would want to add the photos into your album in small doses as people tend to be put off when they get a lot of notifications that you have added a few photos to your page and will unfollow/like your page.
Also Videos are fantastic as they reach out to a wide range audience. This is best downloaded into your page in small doses, basically you want to tease the audience so they will be begging for more content.
Ensure that you post links that is relevant to your product as well as relevant hashtags that will make your posts more engaging.
You’re Audience
Your audience depends on the type of potential customer that has an interest in this page. Regardless if you have a big or small fan base you need to invite the people that had trailed your product/service as they will be more likely engaged and spread the word to other likeminded people.
The key is to keep them engaged, feel included in decisions you make in regards to your product and service, as well as feeling a sense of importance.
Also from time to time, allow them to point you in a certain direction if you are not sure. Interact with them on a daily basis and try to stick to certain times to set a routine.
Other Social Platforms you are involved in.
No I am not steering away from Facebook but you need to realise that some Facebook users may prefer other social networks more than this one. Utilise your Facebook apps for the various accessibility and interaction as the users may wish to interact with you more on other networks. Link Facebook to these networks if you can. Here is an example of my FB Page utilising these various apps from Twitter to LinkedIn. I also use the YouTube tab to showcase my videos (I have over 50 at the moment so feel free to have a peek).
The time and Day.
Your Facebook insight function is a fantastic tool to determine when the best time to post your content. Ideally at 2 o’clock in the morning is not a great time unless your audience is in another country. I know what you are trying to say, “My optimum time is 2am in the morning. How do you expect me to get up in the middle of the night and post my content?” there are other handy schedule platforms integrated with Facebook pages that will make posting a breeze so it gets out there at the time you specify so you don’t have to wake up and post then go to sleep.
Building up your audience organically.
If you have a small following/audience you will need to build up your likes/followers before your marketing becomes effective, because there are a broad range of ways to get more likes/followers I will post “Building up your fan-base” within a few days.
Paid Audience.
This is Ideal if you have a specific audience that you wish to target within interests, gender, age or location. However if your Organic reach is not effective then you are wasting your time with paying to boost your post. Creating contests and Using Facebook adds is a very effective method of building your interaction and audience.
Conclusion.
If you build your page with interest and appeal it is the hook that will bring in your potential customers, know what your customers want, what their interests are and the time that the bulk of them are online. This will help you strategies the best way to market your product on Facebook to get that maximum effect.
If you have a small following/fan base then my next post “Building up your fan-base” will be the ideal one for you.
