Insulcon’s REL? & RNL? lining systems are THE answer to CO2 reduction and energy saving as both systems show optimal insulation properties and very low accumulation of the lining system.
The REL? (Refrex?-Expanchor?-Lining) system is a combination of a flexible, dust tight, high temperature and erosion resistant fabric (Refrex?) and a simple, easy to apply anchoring system?(Expanchor?). It can be installed over an existing lining (fibres or bricks) to upgrade the linings up to operating temperatures >1350°C, but it can also be applied as a complete new lining (RNL System).
Refrex? lining systems prevent erosion of (fibre) linings, reflect radiation heat (which will bring you a?better thermal performance) , eliminates pollution of glazed products (by dropped out fibre particles) and are thermal shock resistant.
Next to this they lower maintenance costs, because they prevent extra maintenance for to the periodic filling up of shrinkage joints in in traditional stackbond or module fibre linings.
During the last years we applied the system tested in several high temperature kilns under different process conditions. In among others ceramic kilns, heat treatment furnaces, but also in open combustors, which are fired on demand. Where moisture (rain or condense) and discontinuous operation may cause thermal shock damaging in conventional linings (bricks or refractory castable) a RNL system will not suffer from these kind of attacks.
