??Aha! Moment

Have you ever had one of those "Aha!" moments that light up your week? Last week, I had one of those magical revelations. ??

I've been working on setting up meetings for my clients in some of the most incredible places: Ibiza, Madrid, Toronto, South Africa, Philadelphia, Florida, Cura?ao, and the Bahamas. Each conversation has been a delightful reminder of how much I’ve missed connecting with people from around the globe. ??

From discussing business strategies with partners in Madrid to learning about cultural nuances from colleagues in South Africa, every interaction has been a learning experience. It’s incredible how diverse perspectives can bring fresh insights and enrich our professional lives.

Talking to people worldwide not only broadens our horizons but also fosters a sense of unity and shared purpose. If you’re looking to host a retreat or meeting anywhere in the world, I’m happy to help. Anything from a destination wedding to a large corporate event – let's make it happen together! ??

What’s been your "Aha!" moment recently? Have you rediscovered something that reignites your passion for what you do? Share your – I’d love to hear from you!

1??One Thing I...

?? Learned - Everyone needs a tribe. You have to have your tribe or your people. I’ve found mine in several places – my family, various groups I belong to, and friends I’ve had for years. When you find them, it feels peaceful, safe, and energizing. Your tribe offers invaluable support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. They are the ones who lift you up, cheer you on, and stand by you through thick and thin. Surrounding yourself with the right people can make all the difference in your journey.

?? Read - This book is a treasure trove of inspiration, featuring stories from 52 athletes, CEOs, and entrepreneurs who share the lessons and experiences that helped shape their success. The key takeaway? Mentorship and gratitude are powerful tools for personal and professional growth. Each journey shared is a testament to the impact of having someone believe in you and guide you along the way. It’s a reminder that we all stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and that acknowledging their contributions can propel us forward.

?? Watched - Watching the news coverage of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump took me back to the days of the attempt on Ronald Reagan. I flipped between different news outlets, and honestly, I was really bothered by the coverage – the blaming, the finger-pointing, and the criticisms of the Secret Service. It made me reflect on our current state as a nation. I hope we can come together, but I'm not sure this will be the event that unites us. The media's portrayal of such critical events often influences public perception, and we must seek balanced and fair reporting.

?? Accomplished - I completed all the follow-ups I have meant to do for a couple of weeks now! It feels great to have everything on track and know I’m making steady progress. This accomplishment reminds me of the importance of persistence and timely communication in achieving our goals. Keeping things organized and following through can significantly impact our success.

??Insight for the Week

Q: How can I negotiate better rates and terms with hotels for a large family event I'm planning?

A: Negotiating better rates and terms with hotels for significant personal events requires a mix of preparation and strategy. You can start by understanding your event's needs and budget, then research several venues to compare their offerings. You should approach hotels with a clear outline of your requirements and be ready to discuss potential high-traffic dates that could work in your favor. Flexibility with dates can often lead to better deals. Additionally, don’t hesitate to ask for extras like complimentary rooms, upgrades, or amenities that add value to your event. Building a relationship with the hotel sales team can also be beneficial, as they might offer better terms to loyal customers.

I want you to know that leveraging my experience and connections in the industry can significantly benefit your negotiations. I work daily with hotels and am associated with an organization that places close to $2 billion annually in the hotel industry. This allows us to leverage the collective HelmsBriscoe spend to help you receive a more favorable contract. Book a call today to learn more: Book a Call ??
