I remember a time, not so long ago, when I found myself sifting through old boxes in my attic. Amidst the clutter of yesteryears, I stumbled upon a childhood diary, its pages yellowed with age. It was like unearthing a time capsule, filled with dreams and aspirations I had long forgotten. There, in my own childish scrawl, was the dream to become a writer – a dream that got buried under the avalanche of 'practical' career choices. It's fascinating, isn't it, how our childhood desires, so pure and uninhibited, often get shelved as we stride into the demanding world of adulthood?

As I read through those pages, I realized how often we let practicality dictate our choices, sidelining our passions. Fear of failure, too, looms large, casting a shadow over our desires. It's like standing at the edge of a diving board, looking into the deep waters of the unknown. We're scared of the fall, of not swimming back up to the surface. I was no different. The thought of abandoning a stable job to pursue a writing career seemed daunting. But, isn't it often said that the biggest risks lead to the greatest rewards?

I began to ponder, what if bliss and joy are the compasses we should be following? What if our childhood dreams hold the key to a fulfilling life? There's a unique kind of joy in doing what you love, a kind of bliss that seeps into your being. I decided to test this theory, to take a leap of faith. I started writing again, not as a career move, but as a pursuit of happiness. And, oh, the joy it brought! It was like rekindling a long-lost love, a reminder that bliss should be a guide, not an afterthought.

In this journey of self-discovery, I learned the importance of expressing oneself freely. We're often so bogged down by societal norms and expectations that we forget to live for ourselves. But here's the thing – life is an assortment of opportunities, and it's never too late to embrace them. Whether you're 20 or 60, the doors to your dreams are only closed if you believe them to be. I chose to open mine, to let my thoughts spill onto paper, embracing the writer I always wanted to be.

Now, I invite you to join me in this exercise of reflection. Take a moment to think back to your childhood. What were your dreams? What ignited your heart with excitement? It's time to dust off those old dreams. Maybe it's painting, or dancing, or exploring the world. Whatever it is, allow yourself to ponder the possibility of acting on these desires. You might discover a forgotten part of yourself yearning to break free.

This is your call to empowerment. Listen to your inner voice, that childlike part of you that knows what makes you happy. It's easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of life, to prioritize everything but your own happiness. But seize this moment, for it's never too late to pursue what brings true joy. You owe it to yourself to at least try, to take that first step towards fulfilling those dreams. Remember, happiness is not just a destination; it's a journey.

Remember, our dreams are like stars – they might seem distant and unreachable, but they're always there, guiding us. So, let's embark on this journey together, embracing our passions and rediscovering the joy of our childhood aspirations. The road might be uncertain, but the pursuit is undoubtedly worth it. Dream big, start small, but most importantly, start now. Let's turn our 'what ifs' into 'why nots'.
