Recently lock downs, curfews and quarantines have somehow slowed down the pace the world was moving and perhaps has allowed us to rediscover what truly matters in life.
Overwhelmed by technology and a way that life is just too complex, people are hunting down simpler experiences that provide nostalgia and remind them of a more trustworthy time.
Some emerging trends are
- Trying out old family recipes within the kitchen since we can’t attend restaurants.
- Seeking out entertainment that were discard long ago such as books, puzzles, classic video games & board games.
- Reconnecting virtually with friends or relatives we haven’t spoken to during a while.
The breakneck speed of technology made many individuals want to hamper and reconsider the role we would like our phones and computers to play in our day to day lives.
And while we experience this more balanced way of life, perhaps this will allow us to be more balanced as revivalism is gaining momentum.
Companies need to start thinking about how they can bring nostalgia and balance, now that the behaviour is changing, and once a habit forms its difficult to change.
Perhaps it’s time, to rediscover the Analog!
