Redhawk Records - Sprint #3

November 11, 2022. This date marks the end of me and Mark Park 's third sprint for Redhawk Records! If you are unfamiliar with Redhawk Records, it is a record label that we have started at Naperville Central to bring together artists who are looking to get their music out there, along with a business team who helps market these talented artists. Throughout this sprint, Mark and I are super excited to announce the Redhawk Records 2023 Showcase! This showcase will be held around the end of the school year, and it will display all of our talented artists, both vocalists and producers, as well as all of our business team's marketing efforts. The details of this showcase are still being finalized, but Mark and I have made significant progress starting from scratch this sprint about the main features of this showcase. This was a very tedious process, and it is still in the works. I first emailed Mrs. Nolan, who is in charge of all student activities, to help us get a venue for this showcase, who led us to the athletic director, Mr. Kirkpatrick. He liked the idea, but told me and Mark that there would have a few steps in between until we can finalize the booking of a certain setting. The first thing was that we had to draft up a proposal to him and the principal, Mrs. Thornton, explaining what this showcase would look like, who would be there, what we would need, etc. From there, we would be able to finalize the date and time of our showcase. Redhawk Records are still holding their meetings, artists every Wednesday, and the business team every other Wednesday. One of the challenges that have come across this past sprint is scheduling. My schedule now has activities that have taken up Monday-Thursday every week, and it was hard trying to move things around in order to hold meetings for the business team. Another struggle we had was the showcase planning itself, and what we wanted it to look like. Again, these details are close to being finalized, but Mark and I are very proud of our progress so far. Our next sprint starts today, and we are very excited for what is to come out of Redhawk Records!
