Redhawk Records - Sprint #2

October 19, 2022 marked the end of me and Mark Park 's second sprint of Redhawk Records. If you are unfamiliar with Redhawk Records, it is a record label that we have started at Naperville Central to bring together artists who are looking to get their music out there. Mark and I are very proud to announce that we have signed our first artists! This was very exciting for us as we have been looking to do this for a while, and finally it happened. In signing our first artists, Mark and I drafted up a contract from scratch, basically covering all of our expectations for our artists, along with some basic morals when it comes to our record label. In our latest meeting, these artists have been paired up and have gotten to mixing and matching their different styles, as well as starting to make some beats. In addition, the business team has started to create some content that will be coming out soon on our social media pages, and they have been getting more comfortable with the use of Canva to make amazing designs come time to promote our artists' music. Mark and I also decided along this sprint that our ultimate end goal for the year is to host a showcase for all of our artists at Redhawk Records in May, and one of our targets this sprint was to find a venue to hold this showcase. Unfortunately, a few other things got in the way of us figuring out a site for this showcase, like planning for our weekly meetings, and drafting up contracts, but we will definitely have that set in the coming weeks. Redhawk Records has deffinitely been on a great path, as our artists are passionate to producing their music, and our business team is collaborating very well to help get these talented artists out there. Mark and I look to keep this growth going forward, by focusing on the tasks of our next sprint.
