Redefining Success: A Personal Journey

Success is often seen as an ordained or a prescription drug; those who achieve it tend to believe it stems from their unique abilities or specific actions as if following a scientific formula. But is it really that cut and dry? You have it or you don't. If you don't there's a formula to get it. And what is "IT" that you get? Money? Power? Glory? What if we defined success in a deeply personal way, aligning it with the values that truly matter to us? Wouldn't that be just as significant, if not more?

I like to think of success as a triangle, with each side representing a key aspect of life: Health, Wealth, and Purpose. At the center of this triangle is Joy, the ultimate goal we all strive for.

Wealth: This isn't just about money. It's about an abundance of love, family, and financial stability. The resources enable us to live comfortably and support our loved ones.

Health: This includes both physical and mental well-being. It's about caring for our bodies and minds so we can live life to the fullest.

Purpose: This is the reason we get up in the morning. It's our sense of meaning and direction in life, the impact we want to make in our world.

When we balance these three sides of the triangle, we enhance our chances for Joy, which I believe is the essence of true success. Success, then, reflects the unique values we cherish, ensuring our lives are both fulfilling and joyful.
