As we approach the end of 2024, have you found yourself pausing to ask: Am I where I want to be?
For many of us, this time of year brings a mix of emotions. Maybe you’re feeling regretful about goals you didn’t quite meet, progress that felt out of reach, or the realization that the hustle hasn’t left you as fulfilled as you’d hoped. I get it—I’ve been there. The good news? While 2025 is just around the corner, it’s not too late to make a change.
For years, I chased a version of success that wasn’t truly mine. I equated success with “more”—more deals, more hours, more accolades. But the truth is, none of it brought me the deep sense of fulfillment I was craving; the dopamine rush was short-lived.
Breaking Up with Busy
I’ll never forget one Tuesday night in 2015: two kids in the bath, one hand on the shampoo bottle, the other on my phone, negotiating a high-level deal. I closed the deal, and the kids were clean—it was technically a success. But I felt hollow. I wasn’t truly present for either role: not as a mom, not as a professional. That night, I realized that the “more” I was chasing was costing me the things that really mattered.
That moment marked the beginning of my decision to redefine success. I committed to a life where I book both the things I have to do and the things I love to do with intention—where my calendar reflects not just my responsibilities but also my joy.
The Myth of “More”
It’s so easy to get caught up in the idea that success means doing more, earning more, or achieving more. But as I learned, the pursuit of “more” can leave you feeling like less.
Here’s the truth: fulfillment isn’t found in job titles, paychecks, or accolades alone. It’s found in the quiet moments of alignment—walking your dog, enjoying an uninterrupted dinner with your family, or simply living in a way that feels true to who you are.
If 2024 hasn’t been the year you hoped for, don’t let fear of falling short hold you back. 2025 is your opportunity to redefine what success means to you and start fresh.
From Hustle to Harmony
I’ve come to believe that success isn’t about how much you can squeeze into your days. It’s about how aligned those days feel with your purpose. Success looks different for everyone, but for me, it means serving others, raising mindful kids who feel seen, heard, and loved, and staying true to myself. It’s about showing up as the most authentic version of me—and helping others do the same.
What Will You Choose for 2025?
If you’re ready to let go of the grind and embrace something more meaningful, here’s where to start:
A New Year, a New Path
2024 isn’t over yet, but the clock is ticking. Don’t let another year slip by without moving closer to the life you want. Let 2025 be the year you step into alignment, leave behind the “more” that doesn’t serve you, and create a life that feels like yours.
Your goals, your dreams, your joy—it’s all still within reach. The question is: Are you ready to redefine success and claim it?
