The Red Sea project - Sheybarah Island Resort
The Red Sea Project is a nature-based experience across more than 28,000 sq. km of land and sea. It comprises 50 islands, two dormant volcanoes plus a vast range of land based experiences with a car free environment.
The project, also known as Sheybarah Island Resort, is a massive luxury tourism development currently under construction in Saudi Arabia. A milestone has been reached in the project as the first 4 of 73 villa pods have arrived at the site. The Sheybarah villas were modularly constructed in Sharjah and shipped to Saudi Arabia's Red Sea project.
The resort will be located on the Sheybarah Island, which is situated on the coast of the Red Sea, and will feature a variety of luxury hotels, villas, and apartments.
In addition, the resort will also include a wide range of amenities such as beaches, water sports, outdoor activities, and shopping and dining options.
The Red Sea Project is part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 plan, which aims to diversify the country's economy and reduce its dependence on oil. The project is expected to create thousands of jobs and attract billions of dollars in investment.
In May 2022, the developer awarded a contract to Netherlands-headquartered Mammoet which will involve the transportation of the modularly constructed villas from Sharjah to the Sheybarah Island via sea transportation, as well as the installation of the villas on the island.
This process is crucial to the successful completion of the Red Sea Project, as it ensures that the villas are transported and installed safely and efficiently.

The Red Sea Project is expected to open in 2023, and it is already attracting interest from major international hotel operators and investors. The resort is set to become a major player in the global luxury tourism market and will help to establish Saudi Arabia as a top destination for tourists.
