Red Media Annual Review 2022

It seems as if 2022 marked the first ‘normali-ish’ year since pre-COVID. The outside opened, we had the World Cup, and even Christmas has been saved. And although we recognise that the entirety of the year has not been perfect, we are determined to share a positive outlook on the year as a whole, and on what the future at Red Media holds.

So, as 2022 comes to a close, we thought we would share with you our highlights of the year…

Platforms

Red media is already established across a plethora of platforms; these grew even further this year, with the addition of Sky Glass, Sky Q, Roku, AppleTV. In addition, we expanded further with our collaboration with DAZN, which added YouTube to our list of established platform partnerships.

Channels

We are delighted to announce that our channel growth expanded by 50%. We introduced new partnerships with DAZN. Having seen an increasing decline in the UK linear kids’ market, we launched Ketchup Too and Yaaas Universal Music in order to further strengthen our kids’ offering. We also added to our ethnic channel offering this year, making us the largest ethnic-offering sales house within the CTV market.

Team

As our company expanded, our team also grew. We are proud to announce that we appointed several new positions over the past year, welcoming new employees into both our Sales and Operations departments. We are hoping to boast this even more in 2023, as well as training our current staff to become even more independent within their roles.

Successes

This year there were many effective, stand-out campaigns, from serving a successful sponsorship, to working with big, mainstream brands. We’ve successfully been able to target specific audiences using our premium offerings; premium kids and family, premium entertainment and premium ethnic and diversity.

As we do every year, the upcoming year will also see us following the same Red motto…

Our biggest focus every day is to ensure that we are both engaged with our clients, partners and the media industry; which is forever evolving, it is never stagnant. None of this is possible without first, engaging within our team.

Driven

Our drive is what makes us stand out. As a team, we remain determined to fulfil everyone’s needs. In simpler words; we get things done.

While we recognise that 2023 will hold big challenges, given the current socio-economic status within the UK; we are excited to end this year on a positive note. Having said this, we want to thank everybody for all of their efforts this year and the continued support. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
