Red Friday at BGIS

Red Friday started out as a grass-roots movement that has become recognized as a way to show support for Canadian soldiers – it consists of simply wearing a red shirt on Fridays. In fact, RED stands for Remember Everyone Deployed. The red colour hearkens back to the poppy, a symbol of remembrance for the sacrifices made by Canadian men and women in uniform. Wearing Red on Fridays is a symbolic gesture to show fellow Canadians and our troops that we honour those who fought for us and continue to fight for us.
