Red Flags, Resets & Rhetoricals

Red Flags, Resets & Rhetoricals

I’m at the stage of my life where I will literally drop everything to go golfing. No questions asked. It pretty much doesn’t matter what I have going on… Invite me to play 18 holes & I’m there. Almost to a fault. It’s nearly becoming a character flaw. (It is already.)

Just kidding, not quite yet, but it’s damn close. I’m a walking red flag ?? (see what I did there).

My brain is all over the place this morning. After procrastinating on all my usual Sunday resets / preparations / newsletter writing yesterday by… playing 18 holes of golf, I am now already behind to start the week. Here’s some classic word vomit for you all on this fine Monday.

My thoughts are as follows:

Thought 1:?

The is the last week of summer. Which is insane. It might be why I feel so discombobulated. I’m sunburnt, my backpack is full of sand from the beach. It’s beautiful. This is the first summer since college where I truly feel like I took advantage. Labor day weekend coming up. One last hoorah before September. Luckily, September in NYC is the #1 month of the year.

Quick power ranking of months in NYC.

1) September

2) October

3) April

4) November

5) December

6) May

7) June

8) March

9) February

10) January

11) August

12) July

This is the correct order.

Thought 2:

I just finished watching Presumed Innocent on Apple TV+. Damn. What a great junk thriller. I thought Jake Gyllenhaal was a bad casting choice but it’s phenomenal television. If you’re trying to break the Love Island addiction, it’s a great place to start.

Thought 3:?

We’re planning a Mugsy photoshoot next week in Boston area. I’m feeling behind in planning (something I meant to do on Sunday but I instead went golfing) and something I should be doing right now but instead I’m writing this newsletter.

Damnit. I should wrap this one up. Too much to do.

Thought 4:

I just got a new watch. Ironically, I also just got my first watch.

I’ve never been a watch guy. Always thought they were lame. No reason, probably because I’m just ignorant and if I didn’t have one, then I felt obliged to shit on them.

But damn, let me just say, I am obsessed.

Got a Garmin. Game changer on the course. Also my resting heart rate is 45 BPM. Is that good?

(That is rhetorical question. I know it’s good.)

I still think shiny metal watches are lame. Which of course is just an excuse because I can’t afford one. I can’t wait to buy a nice fashion watch one day and proclaim watches are now cool.

That’s it today. Nothing of value to provide here. Sorry if you feel like I just wasted 5 minutes of your life.

I’ve got too much to do today. Thanks for reading anyways. Please don’t unsubscribe.

Not sure why no one wanted to sponsor today’s Trust Fun? Lol.

Thanks for reading, friends. Grab the last week of summer by the horns.
