Welcome from the MD: Can you believe we’re in May already, nearly the end of our company Financial Year too! It feels as though this year is flying by and there is definitely no let up in vacancies and placements, with April looking to be one of our best months ever! Thanks as ever to our trusted clients for your continued support! Well done Leigh, what a fantastic achievement and great cause!

Kilt Walk for Baby Loss Retreat: At the weekend our wonderful Senior Recruitment Consultant Leigh took part in her 3rd Kilt Walk – a mighty stride of 23 miles, walking from Glasgow Green to Balloch!

On Friday we chatted to Leigh and asked how she was feeling ahead of the challenge: “This is my 3rd time participating in the kilt walk and this year has been sold out.?I am doing it for my friends’ charity called Baby Loss Retreat. The staff at baby loss retreat work all year round to provide aftercare support for parents/families who have lost a baby from early miscarriage through to neonatal death. They offer services from counselling to trauma therapy and a variety of therapy sessions for siblings. Baby Loss also provide retreats free of charge to bereaved parents to give them some time to get away and reflect.”

“Why do I support this charity? Having watched my best friend suffer the loss of a child and leave the hospital with no support or advice, I watched her start this charity to make a difference and to support others. I see how far she and her partner have come with the charity to date, it’s such a huge achievement and I am so proud of them - they have supported so many parents.?The charity fundraises all year round: they host a wave of light ceremony each year and do live lunches, support groups and host awareness tables, amongst many other events.”

We are so proud of how well Leigh did on Sunday and how much money she raised for such a fantastic charity.

You Make It Workshop: Last Friday Matt travelled down to The National Theatre on London’s South Bank to deliver a workshop on “CV Writing Skills and Interview Tips” to the inspirational women on the “You Make It” programme. You will have seen that Red has been an avid supporter of this charity over the past year and we’re so happy to be involved in the work they do, empowering women to maximise their potential and give them the tools and network to build a successful career.

Blog Takeaway: We couldn't let Easter roll by without taking the opportunity to write an Easter themed blog! This month's blog looked at how we could all be more mindful of the environment this Easter...from making our own Easter decorations, to shopping locally and recycling whenever possible!
