Welcome from the MD: Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to the latest edition of our “Red All about It” Newsletter. I trust everyone had a wonderful festive break and is feeling pumped for what 2023 has in store for us. As many people do in January, I like to take the opportunity to reflect on the past year whilst also looking forward to what we can achieve in this brand-new year.?
Looking back over 2022 we have had some amazing highlights and achievements as a team, too many to list, but the launch of our “Red Talks” Podcast and being shortlisted for the REC “Best Company to Work For” award definitely stand out! In addition to growing the team and welcoming on-board Megan and Elaine.
Whilst 2023 looks like it could be challenging from a wider macro-economic perspective, here at Red we have started the New Year with a bang and our consultants are already busy working on numerous exciting vacancies for our amazing clients. We’ll also continue to execute our Strategic Plan to build the business and support our staff across our 4 main pillars of Business Development, Process Improvement, People Development and Marketing Development. Exciting times ahead!
Leigh passes her Level 3! The lovely Leigh has passed her Level 3 in Recruitment Practice through REC! Leigh completed the fast-track course, which consisted of submitting 3 pieces of coursework, intense group study sessions and a gruelling exam at the beginning of November. Being the star that she is, Leigh passed with flying colours, receiving her results just in time for Christmas! Leigh said that she is “Delighted to have completed it” and “was keen to get an academic qualification to go with 3+ years’ work experience at Red”. She did admit that it “wasn’t easy juggling home life, full time work and children” but would definitely recommend it and said that she can’t wait to share her newfound recruitment knowledge with the rest of the team at Red! Congrats again Leigh!?
Congratulations Elaine! Another call for celebration: just before Christmas the lovely Elaine passed her 6 month probation and is now a permanent member of the team at Red! We can't wait to see what the 2023 brings for her and are very lucky to have Elaine as part of the team.

Fun fact: we created this video using Red's new video recruitment software - something that we will be utilizing a lot more this year, so keep your eyes (and ears) peeled!
Christmas Festivities ??????Last month we enjoyed a very festive night at the Crowne Plaza! With a yummy 3 course dinner, a 90s DJ, excellent company and more than a few sore heads the next morning...Red's Christmas Night out was certainly a success! ??????The following week we enjoyed the yummiest Christmas lunch at Slug and Lettuce in Glasgow, which left us feeling very festive (and very full!) We then returned to the office for some Secret Santa fun which got us fully in the Christmas spirit!?
And Finally...in lieu of gifts, for 2022 Red chose to make a Christmas donation to?Shelter Scotland!
