Helping forward-thinking clients maintain and improve levels of excellence and efficiency across their industries.
Welcome from the MD: The launch of our 1st edition of our Red All About It! Newsletter give us an opportunity to showcase all the exciting things that we have been involved with each month. I must say our recent shortlisting for the REC “Best Company To Work For” Award has been a major highlight and makes me so proud. Getting shortlisted for this award in particular is such a huge accomplishment for us all and proves that all of the hard work we have put in over the past 10 years has been worth it. This means more to me than having bumper profits/turnover and we can’t wait for the REC awards dinner in Nov and who knows….maybe we can win it! ?? We have also launched Season 2 of our “Red Talks” podcast where we are discussing a number of issues that we feel very passionate about as a business, including tackling racism and raising awareness of neurodiversity in the workplace. Hope you enjoy!
REC Awards Shortlisted: We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the REC Awards 2022 'Best Company to work for (up to 20 employees)' category! It's fantastic to see our wee team being recognised and is testament to the amazing company culture we have here at Red - where every employee is valued and every voice heard. We can't wait to take that culture to London in November when we attend the REC Awards final!
Red Talks Season 2: Red Talks is back in style with Season 2! After a well-earned summer break, Matt and Megan returned to the studio to do what they do best!???Over the past few weeks, they've been busy chatting to inspirational guests from a variety of backgrounds, tackling some very powerful themes and subject matters. The first episode was released last Wednesday (see below ??) Over the next 6 weeks we'll be sharing our fascinating guests' insights and knowledge with you. Stay tuned...

Team Weekend Away: At the beginning of the month, we also went on our annual team weekend away! This year, we travelled to Manchester to attend the Haydock Park Races. The team truly embraced their competitive side and came away buzzing from the adrenaline of live races and seeing their chosen horses win! Whilst in Manchester, we also attended a darts night at Flight Club...all in the name of podcast research (Matt and Megan chat to Steve Moore, owner of Flight Club, later on in Season 2)! It was a highlight of the trip and the team are now campaigning for a Flight Club to be opened in Glasgow too!
News from the Recruitment World: The biggest news from the Recruitment sphere this month is undoubtedly the repeal of IR35 reforms by Kwasi Kwarteng, the Chancellor of the Exchequer - who has announced that he intends to repeal both the 2017 (public sector) and 2021 (private sector) reforms. This news has been welcomed by contractors, but what does it really mean for recruitment agencies and their clients? Below are links to some useful articles that explain a little more about the repeal and the implications it will have on your agency:

And finally....after being delayed due to COVID and then picking up an injury last year that meant he couldn’t run, our MD Matt finally staggered over the line of the #TCSLondonMarathon2022 on Sunday.
“I must say it was quite emotional. What an atmosphere, I have technically been fundraising for this for nearly 3 years so thanks to everyone who supported me. Ultimately this was all about raising money for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and also running in memory of my wife’s cousin, Alasdair Livingstone, who was also a keen marathon runner, and sadly passed away in 2020. We ended up raising about £8k for this amazing charity. What an occasion!”
