Often times we are afraid to do certain things because the unknown outcome seems to be unbearable. We have so many limiting thoughts that prevent us from actually becoming happy. We tend to exercise FEAR instead of FAITH. Both fear and faith are merely beliefs about something that hasn't even happened yet. They are both strong thoughts in our heads about a future event.
How can we grow if we are in constant fear? How can we get a promotion if we're in constant fear of NOT being good enough. How can we score the winning basket if we fear not making the team? Now's a good time to believe that our thoughts affect our reality.
Mark Twain said, "Do the thing that you fear the most and the death of fear is certain."
We are so scared to dribble the ball up the court, talk to a person that we find attractive, let go of "friends" that mean us no good, apply for positions and schools because of rejection, etc. If we let these negative thoughts aka fears continue to take over our minds, we will ALWAYS be where we are at. We can not grow. We can not do better. We can not achieve success. But, if we try just once, like Mark Twain suggested, we will have proof (not just an assumption/ prediction) that we can or can not do/have something. When we try, hopefully we get the best case scenario. But what if we don't... at least we would have experienced it, survived it, and now KNOW that it's not that bad. The fear is dead. We can move forward.
Case and Point: Imagine the things you would do if you weren't afraid. Exactly. Stop allowing negative thoughts to take over. Once you change them, your life will change too!
