Recruitment Is More About U and I Than AI

As a premier result-driven human resources company with the slogan “Innovation for Greater Workplaces,” we strongly believe in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into work tasks. AI can facilitate mundane job functions. However, we do not believe that AI can or should substitute the person entirely, especially not in the area of recruitment. Why, you may ask?

Think about the following three points for a moment:

Al may overlook top talent.

If there is no one (human) to review the output provided by AI for the initial recruitment testing and validation process, could top talent be potentially overlooked?

Keywords configured for AI may fail to detect well-suited résumés.

Résumés are really just a brief glimpse of the candidates. If the AI tool is prompted to identify only keywords, could there be some excellent résumés left out of the process that indeed list the credentials and experience a company is looking for?

AI may not be programmed to establish a deeper connection with the candidates.

Cultural fit, talent potential, and empathy are factors and qualities that a human recruiter can and will contemplate, but will an AI tool necessarily do the same and as accurately?
