Recruitment top industry for romance

Recruiter

February means Valentine’s Day, and the big day has got us thinking about all things romance. New research conducted by CV Library has discovered that recruitment is the top industry for romance. Recruitment topped the report as the industry where colleagues are most likely to have a workplace romance, followed by Property, then Marketing, narrowly followed by IT and finally Hospitality. This story certainly brought some cheer to these cold February days, and is good news for any single recruiters out there.

Facebook's favourite interview question

Recruiting Times

Interviews can be tough. Whether you’re the one asking or answering the questions, awkward pauses, red faces and stuttering words can make for a tense experience. Miranda Kalinowski, Global Head of Recruiting for Facebook, has shared some insight into the social media giant’s hiring process and the company’s favourite questions to ask potential candidates: “What are you doing on your best day?” It might sound like a simple question, but by asking this the Facebook interviews have found that they can then unearth what really drives and motivates the candidates. Kalinowski went on to explain that this is a great question to prepare for, even if you’re applying for a job elsewhere, as it forces candidates to reflect on what they enjoy doing most.
