Recruitment - a Career of Choice.

Welcome to my 2022 #200daychallenge. Thanks for stopping by!

As part of #the100dayproject I'm determined to gather and share recruiter career stories and I'd love your help!

Here's why this matters to me.

When people of all backgrounds begin careers in recruitment, and are tasked with delivering great talent under challenging conditions and tight timeframes, from the outside looking in, you may think that anyone can do this job.

It's absolutely true that recruiters come from all walks of life, with a rich variety of backgrounds, experiences and interests. Yet not everyone is suited to a career in recruitment, and it takes expertise, hard work and resilience to remain at the top of your game. It's also the mark of a professional to make the complex seem simple.

I'm on a mission to discover what unites recruiters of Australasia and what sets us apart.

In 2021 Humans of NZRec was launched to amplify the voices of professionals within the recruitment industry in NZ and highlight some extraordinary stories while revealing the diversity and broad range of talent within our industry. There may be100 Faces of NZ Recruitment at the top of this article, but even better is the fact that there are 100 different journeys into recruitment shared online. Massive thanks to all the fabulous Humans of NZRec who have already taken part. Head to @HumansOfNZRec to see their career stories and advice for a fulfilling career in recruitment.

In 2022, I'm doing this again, and am especially excited to also be launching @HumansofOzRec too! Aussie recruiters, are you IN?

A core driver of this series is to provide a platform to debunk industry myths and to provide better career advice and a realistic view for people considering working in this profession. After all, how do you change perceptions, but through one person at a time?

This series is designed to give an insight into the challenges, struggles and rewards of a career in recruitment, as well as what it takes to be successful now, and into the future.

This #200DayChallenge aims to gather 100 #OzRec and 100 #NZRec career stories within the first 100 days and share all of these online within 200 days.

Can you help?

Why not nominate a Recruiter in Australia and/or Aotearoa New Zealand with an interesting career story, or if YOU would like to take part and share your journey, take 2 minutes to provide your details here .

And let's forget falling , and showcase why choosing a recruitment career may just be the very best decision of all.
