It's Nick Derham here today to talk about AI.?

AI? How original! You might say.

The automation of recruitment processes has been a hot topic for some time now.?Last year,?everyone seemed to be discussing Artificial Intelligence and how AI would take away all our jobs.?To no one's surprise, AI was named?Collins Word of the Year?for 2023.

Here at Adria Solutions Ltd we have always welcomed every tool that helps us work more efficiently. According to our philosophy, we have explored pretty much every AI tool we have found and analysed how it could make our jobs and the 360o recruitment process more efficient.?

What can AI do to make Hiring Managers easier??

If you work in recruitment, you can use AI tools to handle manual (and often time-consuming) tasks, such as candidate sourcing, data analysis, CV screening, or interview scheduling.?

While you can even use AI to conduct candidate assessments, it's important to remember that?AI tools cannot replace human judgment. Evaluating a candidate's fit for a company's culture and job requirements still requires the unique insights and understanding that only experienced human recruitment specialists can provide.

The idea is to automate the more routine and administrative recruitment tasks, allowing human recruiters to focus on their role's strategic and human aspects.

These include:?

  • Building relationships with candidates and clients
  • Listening to the client's and candidates' requests and preferences
  • Learning about the workplace culture and mission and the candidates' values and ambitions
  • Building trust and rapport with all parties involved
  • Communicating better with the different teams, in-house recruiters and hiring managers
  • Sharing expert insights with your clients and making informed decisions
  • Assisting clients and candidates in salary negotiation
  • Supporting clients and candidates?until the onboarding process is completed
  • Nurturing candidates and clients to keep them happy and engaged


In short,?while you can automate the recruitment process, you?shouldn't?automate the?whole?recruitment process.??

Automation tools are great for dealing with the mundane tasks, but I can't see them ever replacing conversations with candidates!
