Recruiting Embedded / System Engineers
Note: Here I am sharing all my personal observations/experiences.
Most of the Engineering colleges in India do not have the Curriculum / Academic subjets and Practical labs which might help the Engineering students to be an Embedded / System Engineer.
So, this is the reason most of the Engineering students who opt for Electronics and Communications / E&TC are not hired by Embedded Companies like JohnDeere, Ericsson, Cisco, Sasken, Bosch, etc.
As we know that IITs, IIITs, and NITs, where Cream of Engineers are produced with the best labs and great researchers, will be directly recruited by TOP MNCs and Navratna Companies, etc.
But also universities like Lovely Professional University in Punjab, PUNE University and Army Institute and Technology Pune, and some other deemed universities, have a Curriculum that meets the Industry standards, part of their academic year.
As part of the Industry Engagement program, I visited AIT(Army Institute and Technology Pune) a couple of times and got surprised by the way the Faculty of E&TC guiding and encouraging the students to implement the MicroControllers and Microprocessors based projects starting from the second year of B.Tech. A couple of projects I noticed like, auto ON/OFF of Lights, Ventilator Fans when people enter the restrooms, are implemented by the Engineering students.
Due to a lack of Embedded Engineering skills like those listed below, in Engineering Collages, Companies are recruiting the Embedded / System Engineers from institutes like C-DAC which offers PG-Diploma courses and Placements assistance.
ARM Programming
Real-Time Operating Systems
Linux Internals
Embedded Linux Porting
Device Driver Programming
Yocto BSP
Android BSP
Android Application
IoT
Companies like Bosch and Delta initially recruit the Engineers / Freshers as Interns, Especially Bosch conducts Hackathons in collages like Vellore Institute of Technology and Manipal Institute of Technology, etc in the southern part of India, also Bosch recruits the IITians as direct employees.

There are lots of Embedded institutes in India, some of the best institutes are mentioned below, especially the Vector India Institute in Hyderabad also playing a vital role in the private sector. (C-DAC is under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology).
These institutes are helping and guiding the Engineering Graduates to train them professionally and to be placed in their dream career jobs.

Even in Europe, Reliable Embedded Systems offers training for Embedded Enthusiasts.
In some cases, the small/medium level Embedded companies outsource their employees to big MNCs for the Onsite Projects, but later these Embedded / System engineers are poached by these MNCs with higher packages and other facilities.
Even the talented and Passionate Engineering students / Graduates can be identified/recognized and can be recruited based on their Blogs posted on LinkedIn and active participation and Project implementation in the Communities like Hackster.io, BeagleBone, RaspberryPi, and the first Make in India Industrial Grade SBC RuggedBoard community.
