Whether it is recruiting externally or developing internal talent, building leadership capability is, in my opinion, the number one driver for success within any organisation.

1. Passion - A passion for learning and self-development increases the likelihood that they'll continue to grow and succeed.

2. Communication skills - Includes Listening, ability to express themselves and present information.

3. Collaborative - They'll surround themselves with other talented people and are team players.

When young talent starts to engage with senior level leaders and well-rounded employees, they pick up on good habits and learn new skills.

To emphasize finding and cultivating the next generation of effective leaders, companies must turn to their recruiting process.
