Recruiting Bootcamp Tip #10 - BUILD BETTER RELATIONSHIPS
These Little Things can cement your relationships and drive you towards a more successful 2021.
It’s all about relationships baby! That’s right. With all the latest exciting apps, CRMs, marketing platforms, and other recruiting gizmos, successful pros know that it’s still those with the deft human touch who win time and time again in recruiting.
So how can you differentiate yourself from among the crowds? What can you do to increase your relationship touch? Why not ask your candidates and clients – the very people you service?
I’ve done just that and, over my career I’ve learned some interesting ways to stand a bit taller in my client’s eyes. Here are four of the most common tips I’ve learned. Maybe you’ll find a nugget to help you as well.
Share industry specific knowledge or competitor intel that’ll help them “look good” or in the know. This could be something formal and consistent like an email outlining industry specifics on a quarterly basis. Or it could be something informal such as a personal note with an enclosed article that you thought they’d be interested in. Even if they don’t, they’ll appreciate you thinking of them.
Take someone to lunch, or a sporting event, or a concert for no reason other than to get to know them better. Or, just as a random act of kindness, send them two tickets in the mail.
Send birthday and holiday cards. In the world of Facebook birthday reminders, a good old-fashioned card is really appreciated.
Create a “Satisfaction Survey” designed to ask your candidates and clients how you can increase your service. They’ll appreciate you asking!
It’s the little things that can help cement your reputation as a leader in service, which can significantly increase your repeat business.
