We are delighted to announce that ?????????????????? Antonova has joined our team as our new Recruitment Specialist! ? Her passion for finding the perfect fit and her innovative approach to hiring are already making waves.

What motivates you to develop a career in recruitment?

Steph: My interest in recruitment is driven by my Business and Organisational Psychology Master’s degree and my long-term professional experience in the sports industry.

My academic studies have provided me with the foundations to grasp human behavior, personality traits and team dynamics, as well as new approaches - which I’ve effectively applied while recruiting talent in sports.

Seeing the positive impact of well-constructed teams and athletes is a joy, and this has inspired me to focus on matching the right people with the right roles.

How do you deal with the difficulties in this profession?

Steph: I believe most difficulties and lack of communication can be improved through resilience, compassion, empathy and most of all truly understanding each person’s background and needs in order to avoid future miscommunication.

What is the thing that keeps you inspired every day?

Steph: What inspires me most is seeing other people around me succeed and radiate positive energy. It creates a sense of happiness within me to see the people around me thrive and use their abilities to their highest potential. I have noticed this also motivates me internally, and I naturally produce better results when I’m in a fast paced environment.

What advice would you give to people who are searching for a job?

Steph: There are so many intricate details that need to be taken into consideration when applying for a job. This could range from the CV structure, accurate dates or simply the terminology used to describe each role - this is a layout of your experience purely on paper.

It does not define YOU. However, the most important aspect is to not lose your sense of self worth throughout the process. NEVER GIVE UP!

An unsuccessful application should be viewed positively (as hard as it may be at first) as this could open a door for a future, more positive opportunity that better meets your needs, where the co-workers can envision your potential immediately.

I also believe that, an individual should strive to place the blame on external factors less frequently- as this prevents us from taking action and altering minor changes that could make a huge difference. Frequent self-analysis or feedback from friends/family/teachers or previous co-workers can also be quite helpful.
