Recruiters are going to have to get 'socially savvy' if they want to succeed

RECRUITING: As the world becomes increasingly virtual, recruiters will have to reconsider where — and how — they're?recruiting talent.?Ninety-five percent of recruiters use LinkedIn to source potential candidates to fill open positions, according to workforce insights platform WorkTogether Talent Consulting . The problem? LinkedIn isn't the only form of social media applicants are using to find new opportunities, but it's one of the only ones recruiters are comfortable with.?Despite the fact that social media will become a staple of the recruitment process, it won't drastically change a recruiter's skills. It's just a matter of broadening the scope. Here's what HR leaders should consider:
RETIREMENT: Parents are attempting to push their adult children out of the nest — but they’re not budging, and it’s coming at a cost.?At the peak of the pandemic, 52% of young adults between 18-24 years old moved back in with their parents, according to data from the Pew Research Center. But more than two years later, 40% of parents are still hosting their adult child in their home, and in many cases, financially supporting them.?Here's how it's putting parents at risk — and what you can say to your adult child to share the financial weight.
