We've asked Timothy a few questions about himself and on any advice that he would give to his candidates. Here's more about Tim in his own words.. In true Malaysian style, there's no better way to start..

Favourite food?

Timothy: If I didn't say Sushi, I would bring great dishonour to my ancestors. So, Sushi!

Best travel tip / destination?

Timothy: Anywhere in South East Asia. I've been coming to Malaysia since I was 6 months old. It has been one of my favourite places to both travel, and live. Something magnetic keeps pulling me back.

Advice I would have given my younger self?

Timothy: Brain in gear, before mouth in action!

What makes you different from other recruiters?

Timothy: Attention to detail and going the extra mile. I also advise people to stay in their current position more often than I advise them to leave, which for a recruiter is counter-intuitive but it's most often in people's best interests. As recruiters, we are in the unique position to directly influence someone's career path and trajectory, hence we need to apply due care and custody when giving life-changing career advice.

If you weren't a recruiter, what would you be doing?

Timothy: Brain surgeon, rocket scientist, or modesty expert.

What is the best thing about your job / What's the most rewarding part of your role?

Timothy: Helping people achieve their goals and aspirations.

What advice would you give to your candidates?

Timothy: Make a good first impression, as you can only make a first impression once!

What's more important than money when looking for a new job?

Timothy: A good work environment.

Preparing for zoom interviews?

Timothy: Be punctual and enthusiastic.

Timothy: Decentralisation & Blockchain
