Record redemptions

What do you need from a lender? Someone to work with you through the prosperous and challenging times. Someone that has your back when the ‘outside of your control’ happens?

Roma has achieved a record month of redemptions for volume and value in March, and it has carried on in April, meaning I am only posting this now! We promote that we love to lend and are ‘borrower first’; it is not just something we say, it is our philosophy.

Our mantra is to work with our customers to help them achieve the right outcome. We look at everything individually and will make the right decision for the right borrower.

In recent months there have been delays with land registry and building regulation sign offs. The British weather, as usual, has something to answer for, as has the economy for the lack of availability and cost of materials. None of these factors are the fault of property investors and developers. Working with our borrowers through the challenges, ensures a favourable outcome for all parties and means we can continue on new projects in partnership.

Redemption exits have been a mixture of refinances and sales, with a trend towards refinance as more landlords grow their portfolios.

I am delighted with this achievement! Roma build relationships with all borrowers from the day of funding. We support them and maintain transparency and open lines of communication. This means that so many of our borrowers and partners come back and achieve more. We love to lend and we love to lend again!
