A record quarter for dispatches at Intelligent Energy.

Catch up with what we have been up to so far...

With the first quarter coming to an end, it's been a busy first few months in Loughborough.

We would like to say a big thank you to our partners and customers around the globe. Our order book for 2023 has more than quadrupled against our 2022 figures and in our first quarter, we dispatched over 89 fuel cell products. We are seeing more of our customers move to volume supply, supporting our mission in powering the hydrogen future.?

At Intelligent Energy, we are now accelerating plans to increase our manufacturing capacity. We are currently expanding our existing facility to meet our customer commitments for the next 18 months.

In March, we saw the launch of our new brand name for power generation and warehousing product applications. IE-POWER reflects the range of use cases that our customers are now integrating our fuel cells into and we look forward to showcasing this new brand name at Hannover Messe.

We would also like to welcome our 17 new starters to the IE team. As we continue to scale up our orders, our company is growing, bringing new talent and ideas to the office each day.

IE-SOAR: fuel cells for UAVs and VTOL applications

Our IE-SOAR? team headed to Amsterdam Drone Week 2023 in March to see the launch of HyFly's hydrogen powered tandem tilt wing VTOL drone and NEX Aero's hydrogen powered eVTOL systems. Both systems are world firsts in their categories and launched to the market at the show.

The team also did a flight demo to key RPAS members of the UK Ministry of Defence, as part of a recent Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) project. They showcased our IE-SOAR? fuel cell modules in the flight demo and a range of bulk and portable refuelling options.

All things car, bus, truck, stationary and rail

Our IE-DRIVE? team are supporting HORIBA MIRA and Viritech in the development of hydrogen fuel cell technologies for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). The project will see the companies develop technologies suitable for a hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) and is expected to lead trials with major fleet operators from 2025.

IE-POWER at FC Expo 2023!

Our Japanese partner for our IE-POWER ?product line, Teijin Ltd , launched their?compact?portable fuel cell power generator at FC EXPO 2023 in Tokyo.?TOKYU CONSTRUCTION CO., LTD. are one of many customers using these systems to provide reliable portable power.

Hannover Messe, Stand D29 Hall 13 - April 17-21

We will be exhibiting our full product range from 800W to 1MW at Hannover Messe with our fuel cells for drones, forklifts, cars, trucks, stationary power units on display.

David Fields, Head of Product Line for IE-POWER ?will also be speaking at 1pm on Tuesday the 18th of April. Head to the Public Forum to hear his Q&A session about hydrogen fuel cell applications. Read more

AUVSI Xponential, Stand #1816 - May 8-11

The IE-SOAR? team will be showcasing our lightweight hydrogen fuel cell modules for unmanned aerial vehicles at AUVSI Xponential !

We will have two demos at the event, so why not come and see our fuel cell powered drones in action. Head to the outdoor demo area on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th at 1pm.

Our IE-DRIVE? team will be exhibiting at the JSAE Annual Congress alongside the APC on the UK Pavilion. We look forward to joining other UK SMEs and showcasing our automotive IE-DRIVE? fuel cells to the Japanese market. Read more
