Record 80 EXOS-Supported Athletes Selected in 2016 NFL Draft

A record 80 players supported by EXOS were selected in the 2016 NFL draft, which is equal to 32 percent of this year's total draft class. EXOS saw a record 16 athletes drafted in the first round, and has now supported 675 total draft picks and 134 first-round selections through the combine and pro day training program.

Included in the 80 total picks were 4 in the top 10 and 33 athletes selected in the top 100. The first EXOS-supported athlete to be selected was DeForest Buckner, DT, Oregon, selected No. 7 overall by the San Francisco 49ers and finished with the final athlete selected being Prince Charles Iworah, CB, Western Kentucky, selected No. 249 overall by the San Francisco 49ers.

"I heard a lot of good things about EXOS," said DeForest Buckner, the 7th overall selection by the San Francisco 49ers. "I had talked to my former teammate, Arik Armstead (2015 17th overall pick, San Francisco 49ers), who trained at EXOS and had a great combine, and I really just wanted to choose a place that was the best for me. I'm really glad to have been here and have them as my coaches."

During their combine and pro day preparations, athletes experienced daily strength, power, and speed training, along with personalized nutrition, physical therapy, and recovery services, position-specific work, mindset training. They also participated in combine-specific preparations for team interviews and the Wonderlic test.

"It's an honor to have supported a record 80 athletes selected in this year's NFL draft," said Adam Farrand, director, NFL combine program at EXOS. "These athletes have been working their whole lives for this moment, and our team truly enjoyed supporting them throughout their draft journey, helping them reach their performance goals and showcase their talents to coaches and scouts. We look forward to seeing them, and all the athletes we supported through our program, take the field on Sundays this next season."
