Reconsidering Mitt Romney

I have been truly angry at my sister roughly six times in our relationship. It can happen even in the best relationships. In 2012 she returned from a trip with her fiancee and said she wanted me to do something for her birthday.

Judging by her tone I figured this would be something I did not want to do. She wanted me to vote for Mitt Romney. American has justified wars based on Democratic elections in other countries and she wanted me to vote for someone who was not my first choice.

It would have been against the law if she paid me to vote for someone else. I did not commit election fraud for no money when I was underemployed. That would have compromised our relationship and she has not made any inappropriate suggestions since.

Had I broken a sacred bond Mitt Romney still would have fallen short in that election. He ended up in the Senate. Last week he called out George Santos. This drama queen does not need to be front and center.

It makes the audience anticipate the eventual day he is removed from The House of Representatives in handcuffs. His response to the Senator from Utah might be his first honest reaction.

Government is not the place to throw shade. Maybe Sen. Romney will never be President. He can do more in the Senate, just like Ted Kennedy. Mitt Romney does his job. You may not agree with everything he says.

Chances are there is no politician you agree with 100% percent of the time. Liz Cheney voted in line with Donald Trump ninety-two percent of the time. She didn't care for his brash demeanor and approved of the policies. She could not go along with invading the Capitol Building.

George Santos will flame out. I could not name another first term congressman. He sucked all the air out of Congress. The ones I truly feel sorry for are the residents of his district. They did not expect a sideshow. Mitt Romney lost the 2012 Presidential Election and found other ways to serve. George Santos fooled the public once. He may not make it to 2024 to defend his seat.
