Reconnecting with lost delight of manual writing in the modern digital age
A few days back, just when I sat down to write few important things on a paper and consequently was deeply engrossed during that process, I got myself clicked in a candid moment. ????
Well, my initial reaction was of feeling surprised coupled with a big smile on my face. ????
However, after a while, I couldn’t help but think of the last time when I actually held a pen in my hand and wrote down some words on a paper. ????
With the advent of technology, a lot of tasks in our everyday lives have been made quite simple and benefitted us immensely in terms of organizing our priorities at work. ????
On the other hand, an over reliance on the digital world has made us lose touch with simple pleasure or sometimes the caution that comes along with writing manually. ?????
These basic thoughts of penning down things after so long made me nostalgic of our good old days as well as think futuristically of the times ahead when there will be little use of paper and pen. ????
The contrast between the timeless beauty of writing by hand and the convenience of modern technology for written communication is a conversation I personally find fascinating and worth delving into. ?????
In today’s world where using keyboards and touchscreens largely dominate our workspace as well as our personal interaction with others, the basic ritual of putting pen to paper seems to be fading into the background. ??????
However, in my opinion, the significance and charm of the traditional art of writing remains irreplaceable even in present times. ?????
One of the biggest influences of technological advancements on us is probably the gradual thinning of the virtues such as patience with which we spent time on the contemplation and structuring of our thoughts before literal translation to words. ????
The convenience that comes with quick typing, an ease of editing, and the rapid sharing of texts have significantly transformed the medium as well as patterns of interactions. ?????
